Booking Process
I have tried to keep the
booking process as simple as possible. Reserving the unit takes two steps. First
I will send you a partially completed rental agreement. This agreement is a two
page document that i downloaded from the web and adapted for my own use.
In order to open this
rental agreement you will need adobe reader installed onto your computer. Once
you receive the agreement you should open the file on your computer. The rental
agreement is designed to work as an online form. Simply fill in all the fields
using your computer keyboard and mouse. Once the form has been completed, print
the form and sign it at the bottom of the second page. Now all you need to do is
scan and email this document back to me or simply fax it to me

Payment
Information
All bookings are made on a first come, first served
basis. No rental agreement is complete until a deposit payment is received and
cashed by the landlord. The balance with security deposit is due 45 days before
the rental period begins
Payment may be made online using paypal.com or by doing
an INTERAC Email Funds Transfer. Payment may also be made by credit card over
the phone. Just call me at 416 438-4640 and I can take your credit card info to
process the payment. Please be advised that I do not keep your credit card info
on file. A receipt for the credit card payment will be emailed to you at the
time of processing.
Please note that all charges are in Canadian dollars.
Payments will only be accepted for the exact amount of the rental including the
security deposit. Please not that payments that exceed this amount will not be
accepted.
The total payment will include the
rent for the unit, taxes on the rental, a security deposit, and a cleaning fee.
Once we receive payment in full, we will provide
directions and additional information about the rental property including a
comprehensive list of things to do in the area as well as instructions on how to
use the facilities. This documentation will usually be received two weeks prior
to your arrival date.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is collected to ensure compliance with the
Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement. The security deposit is
held for 5-8 days, or where applicable, until phone
bills/pay per view bills have cleared. All or part of
the security deposit may be used for any breakage or
damage, long distance or pay per view charges or for any
incidents of non-compliance with the rental contract
(which may include cleaning costs, and the cost of any
repairs).
Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee is
charged with each rental contract. this cleaning charge assumes that our
cleaning staff will ned to spend no more then 5 hours cleaning the unit after
you have departed. It also assumes that a certain amount of cleaning supplies
will be consumed. It is
the responsibility of the renters to ensure the property
is left clean and tidy enough so that the cleaners will
only need to spend their allocated 3 hours to get the place ready for our next
guest. Any additional time spent cleaning above and beyond the three hours will
be deducted from the security deposit as specified in the terms and conditions
of rental. This means that a
thorough cleaning must be done by you and your party
prior to departure! All the linens should be washed and
at least put in the dryer prior to your departure.
Properties must be left in the
condition in which they were found. Please do not leave
your garbage behind! All garbage must be placed in
proper green garbage bags and placed in the garbage bins located on the property
or they must be taken by you
and not left at the cottage! Deductions from your
security deposit will result if the above cleaning
policy is not adhered to.
